Teriyaki Sauce

Ingredients:
½ cup sugar
½ cup soy sauce
¼ cup cider vinegar
3 tablespoons honey
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon ground ginger
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon water

Method:
In a small sauce pot combine the sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, honey, garlic powder, ground ginger, and pepper. Bring to a boil over medium high heat, stirring frequently. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix together the cornstarch and water. Stir into sauce once it comes to a boil, stir until the sauce returns to a boil and thickens. Remove from heat and cool slightly. Enjoy!

Tip: Use as a dipping sauce, marinade or to coat meat while cooking.
