Bread Sticks




Ingredients:
3 cups warm water
2 packages yeast
3 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons oil
1 tablespoon salt
6+ cups flour
Softened butter
Garlic powder
Grated Parmesan cheese

Method:
In a large bowl combine the warm water, yeast, and sugar, let sit for several minutes. Add the oil salt, and 3 cups flour, mix well. Add the remaining 3 cups of flour plus more if needed to make a soft dough. Cover and set aside, let rise until doubled in size. Punch down and rise until doubled again. Form into bread stick shapes (makes about 2 dozen bread sticks), and place on parchment lined baking sheets. Using your fingers gently rub softened butter over the bread sticks. Sprinkle each with garlic powder and Parmesan cheese. Let rise to desired size. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes, or until they just start to brown. Enjoy!
